This Weekend: Come Visit Spotobe at Artsfest

Most Fridays in this space, I’ll be giving you a quick rundown of what’s going on over the upcoming weekend. I know, original right? This week that seems a little silly. Most everyone in Central Pennsylvania knows this weekend is Patriot-News Artsfest, one of the most-anticipated community events in the area. That’s not to say that there isn’t plenty of other interesting stuff happening though.

The Great Pennsylvania Flavor Fest at the Mount Hope Estate and Winery looks fairly awesome. In Hershey, not only is Hersheypark opening its newest coaster Fahrenheit, but the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus is in town. Camp Hill is also known for its Memorial Day festivities.

On top of all that, the U.S. Constitution mandates that you must attend at least one barbeque that involves hotdogs, beer and horseshoes over Memorial Day Weekend. I love all three, particularly if I’m enjoying them at the same time. The Boiling Springs Pool (and I would assume many community pools) also opens for the season this weekend. If I were writing this 14 years ago, that would have been the lead (lede, whatever) of a very poorly written post.

For any of you planning to hit up Artsfest, Spotobe will be there. Look for me walking around in a Spotobe t-shirt and passing out little blue stress balls that are perfect for pelting your friends and family. Come say “Hi,” and claim one of these stylish projectiles as your own.  When you get home, check the site, because I’m hoping to write a post or two and take some pictures.

Darn! No comments yet.

  1. You know it's really sad when people ignore each other and right now I feel really ignored. Would you like to help start a conversation now?

Do you have something to add?
